The Report For Monday,Jan 7,2008

Temperature readings in Canada are measured in Celcius.
Celcius to Fahrenheit formula

Yesterday was quite mild here with temps above freezing and lots of sun for most of the day. Those conditions sure put a beating on the ice that was in my driveway and most of it is now gone. The wind was also mostly calm throughout the day.
There's nothing in the forecast for this week to get excited about except for the warm temps expected. We should be seeing double digit Celcius readings on a couple of days....the January thaw?Maybe, but we really didn't have a freeze yet.Having said that, conditions are currently similar to what they were last year during this period.Check out my notes for Jan 2007,on Weather Underground, here.
The temps stayed mild through the evening and I was still reading +3 on my thermometer at 7PM.They dropped to a little below freezing through the evening and overnight, the wind remained calm.
It's a little foggy here this morning and today looks like it will be similar to yesterday with the mild weather to continue until week's end.
