Storm On The Way

Yesterday was a nice day here on the south shore.We had lots of sun and it was warm enough in the direct sunlight to melt the cement-like ice off of my back steps.Unfortunately,I was too busy inside to be outside enjoying it.
The evening was relatively calm,just a slight breeze from the SW,with the temp near -5°C.
That was a 'weather breather' because today will be offering up a different scenario.
So far this morning there isn't any precip in the air here but that will be changing as the day progresses.The long range Intellicast(link below) radar is showing lots of weather moving our way from the US east coast.Another couple of hours and it should be here.

Today..Cloudy. Snow beginning this morning changing to rain near
noon. Snowfall amount 2 to 4 cm. Rainfall amount 15 mm. Fog patches
developing this afternoon. Wind southeast 20 km/h increasing to 50
gusting to 70 early this afternoon. High 7.
Tonight..Rain ending this evening then clearing. Fog patches
dissipating this evening. Wind south 50 km/h gusting to 70 becoming
southwest 40 gusting to 60 then west 30 near midnight. Low minus 3.
Saturday..Becoming cloudy. 40 percent chance of flurries in the
afternoon and evening. Wind west 20 km/h becoming light late in the
day. High zero.
