Hot,Hot,Hot!

The past week was extremely hot here.The high temps for the first part of the week were near 40°C with lots of humidity.The latter part or the week was somewhat better with temps in the mid to upper 20s and less humidity.
It is still very dry,we had a brief period of rain on Thursday morning,and there is now an open fire ban in effect.Lots of people using wells are either ou
t of water or using it sparingly.TS Bertha became a hurricane as it increased in strength and is currently diminishing near Bermuda and will have no effect on our area.
There is no sigificant rainfall expected this week.Showers are possib
le on Monday and Tuesday and then it's back into the cooker for the rest of the week.

The weather was great for the Privateer Days festival and the fireworks finale was spectacular.The temp at the waterfront at that time was a comfortable 22°C.
