Monday Dec 22 - Big Storm

We got whalloped yesterday and we're still getting it.
The snow started here in the late afternoon and continued until a change over to rain in the late evening. The temps were fluctuating between +1°C and -1°C throughout the evening.
The snowfall here yesterday was about 5cms and the rain washed a lot of it away.
Overnight the temps dropped to a little below freezing and are holding there for now. There is now quite a bit of ice to deal with and the winds are very strong...near hurricane force.
There have been short, sporadic power failures here through the night and this morning.
The winds are expected to abate somewhat this afternoon but temps are to remain cold until Wednesday.

The high on my thermometer yesterday was 0°C.
Currently(7:30AM):
-4°C
Overcast with snow squalls
Wind is very strong from the SW.
