15 Centimeters

This morning's weather photo.

Well....we took it on the chin here yesterday and it was very reminiscent of the Easter 2007 storm. It began to snow in the early morning and was snowing quite heavily by noon. The snow was very wet with the temp holding at the freezing point.Total accumulation was 15cms here. The steady snowfall ended in the early evening and there were a few flurries thoughout the night.
We are expecting temperatures to be above freezing today so some of this mess should hopefully melt away.More warm weather is on the way for next week with double digit plus temps possible by mid-week.

Today Is Looking Better

This morning's weather photo.

We had quite a mixed mess here yesterday. Some light snow began in the mid-morning,it got quite heavy between noon and 3PM and then changed to rain. Most of the accumulation had washed away by the time the rain ended in the mid-evening.Overnight the temps dropped to a couple of degrees below freezing and the local radio is reporting slippery conditions on the highways.
Today is expected to be fairly mild with temps staying above freezing overnight.
More snow on the way for tomorrow.

Snow Changing To Rain......Again

This morning's weather photo.

It wasn't too bad here yesterday, especially after the sun came out in the afternoon.Temps were once again a few degrees

above freezing but the NW wind made it feel a little cooler.
The overnight temp was slightly below the freezing mark and is holding there this morning.
A little snow will be beginning later this morning and changing to rain as the temp rises this afternoon.Tomorrow promises

to be more Spring-like.

Happy Easter....still cool here but better than last year

This morning's weather photo and last Easter's weather(photo taken on Easter Eve).

Yesterday was a mix of a few flurries, some sun and cool temps that reached just a degree or two above freezing. The
evening temp was down to -6° with a few more scattered flurries.
This morning the sky is mostly clear and it is very calm with the temp at -6°.We should see a day similar to yesterday
except with less,or no,flurries. There's not much change expected in conditions until later in the week.
As the photo above shows, last Easter was quite snowy here.Easter was later last year and we had a major snowstorm that
began the day before,on April 7,and left about 30cms behind. There's more here:
