Yesterday was a typical January day here for the most part with cold temps,no precip and a minimal windchill.As temps begin to rise tomorrow we are expecting a little snow and then above freezing conditions on Monday will be bringing rain to our area.
One more day and then the 'cold snap' in our area will be ending.Contrary to national news and weather reports it really isn't that bad here in south western Nova Scotia.As usual,we have been lumped in with the rest of the province.Overnight lows have been in the minus 20°C degree range for the past couple of days,which is cold but not unheard of,however the daytime high yesterday was in the normal range for us at this time of the year.When you hear people saying,"I saw on the TV that it's cold and snowy in Nova Scotia.",tell them that's not necessarily true and send them here for an account of what it's really like.I'm here and I tell it like it is.
