Remaining hot,Hurricane Bill is now a Cat 4

Yesterday was another very hot day here,a little cooler than previous days, but we still had a high of +29°C.The humidex readings were quite a bit higher than the actual air temps as humidity levels have been increasing over the past few days. The evening was comfortably cool with temps near +20°C and dropped a few more degrees overnight.

A few more days of sun and heat and then things will be changing as Hurricane Bill moves into our area.

Bill is now a Cat 4 storm and is currently about 2000 miles south of us.It continues to track NW and is expected to increase in forward velocity soon before making it’s turn eastward. Some of the forecast models have it making landfall near here on late Sunday, others are showing it’s track as staying south of NS.It’s a wait and see situation at this point and there have been no official advisories issued yet.More info, with track modeling,is here: http://users.eastlink.ca/~jmnorman/sp.html and here http://euler.atmos.colostate.edu/~vigh/guidance/northatlantic/track_early1.png .
