Winter Storm Watch

Yesterday was a normal and seasonal January day here with some sun,some cloud and a few light flurries.Temps were hovering around the freezing mark for the day.
Overnight the temps dropped to well below freezing with a few more flurries.
A disturbance is currently on the way here and we are under the following storm watch:

Yesterday was warm and breezy here...sort of like a March day.There was a fair bit of melting and that produced a few muddy areas.The evening temp dropped to below freezing with a few passing flurries and we have a light coating of snow this morning.
More flurries are forecast for today and tomorrow and then periods of snow are on the way for Sunday.Temps are expected to be in the seasonable range for the next few days.

Wind Warning

Yesterday was pretty messy here.The snow began around noon and quickly became mixed with ice pellets.That changed to freezing rain in the late afternoon as temps rose to the freezing point.Temps continued to rise and the precip had changed over to just rain in the evening.
The rain washed away the snow we got yesterday plus some that was still left from the storm on New Year's Eve.
The freezing rain was much worse in some areas with the usual power failures,flight delays,poor road conditions,etc. throughout the day and evening.
The rain has ended and we are now under the following warning:

Yesterday was fairly mild here with temps above freezing for most of the day.Other than a brief period of drizzle there wasn't any precip.The evening temps dropped to the freezing point and then to a few degrees below by midnight.
Today is expected to be clear and seasonable before a disturbance moves in tomorrow and into Thursday.

Yesterday wasn't too bad for this time of the year here.Temps were +/- 0°C for the day and dropped to -5°C. overnight.There was no precip and the wind was light to calm for the day.
Today may be a bit messy with some snow inland and rain or a mix for us here on the coast.
Milder weather is expected mid-week and we won't be getting any of the extreme cold that has been setting records in the west of Canada.

Breezy Again

Yesterday wasn't too bad here with temps in the seasonal range and some sun.Overnight there were a few flurries and the wind picked up a bit.This morning it is quite windy and cold.Flurries are expected today and then a warm up tonight with some rain possible.It's back to colder weather tomorrow and then some disturbances will be moving through the area throughout the week.
