Yesterday was another nice day here with above freezing temps for the most part and a clear night with temps only a few degrees below freezing.
Last evening was perfect for viewing the stars and planets.
This was Venus and the Moon in the early evening.


A small amount of snow is forecast for later today with temps rising to above freezing.Even warmer weather is on the way for next week with rain expected on Tuesday.

Yesterday was a nice sunny day here with temps above freezing in the afternoon and the wind becoming light.A good portion of the ice left from Wednesday's storm has melted but back roads in the area are still reported as treacherous.
As per usual,the storm was much worse in other areas of the province (link).
Today will be a normal late January day,a little snow is on the way for tomorrow.

It's a little messy here this morning with lots of cancellations and reports of a fair amount of traffic mishaps.Our area received 8 to 10 cms of snow from late yesterday afternoon until the precip changed to rain in the mid-evening hours.Apparently conditions were much worse to the east and inland....our streets are mostly just clear and wet.
Most of the snow here has been washed away but the temps have fallen more rapidly than expected and it is now near freezing.Along with that the wind is quite strong...it actually woke me up at 4AM,sounded like a freight train was passing through my front yard.
The weather will remain a bit unsettled for the next few days with flurries possible,however,the real cold air seems to be behind us...for now.

Yesterday was a nice day here with lots of sun and temps near 0°C.It was quite cold in the evening with a reading of -17°C on my thermometer,skies were clear.
Overnight some cloud cover has moved in ahead of an oncoming storm.We are expecting snow this afternoon and evening and some sleet as the temp rises and the snow changes to rain.Details below.

Yesterday was another very cold day here with temps staying near minus 10°C for the day.The evening low temp was -17°C on my thermometer.Thankfully,there was very little wind.
Today is expected to be similar and the same goes for tomorrow.A small amount of snow is forecast for Wednesday afternoon and then the cold weather is expected to break.

Yesterday was cold and blustery here with temps below 0 for the day.The windchill values were in the minus teens.Some light snow developed in the late afternoon leaving just a trace on the ground.
There's no real improvement in temperatures expected until Thursday when we break the freezing point.
Rain and snow will be moving in to end the week.

Yesterday was quite mild until the late afternoon when temps began to drop and the wind increased.Overnight the temps dropped to minus double digit values and remain there this morning.
Another cold wave has moved into our area.It has pushed the temps down to well below freezing and they will remain there for the next few days.There aren't any really extreme values other than some nasty -20°C+ windchills for today.
