Yesterday was wet and windy here with temps only making it to a cool +6°C.There were some periods of heavy rain and 54.1mm was measured at the Western Head weather station.There’s more rain on the way for the next few days,clearing and cooler weather is expected on the weekend.


Today: Periods of rain mixed with drizzle ending near noon then cloudy with sunny periods and 40 percent chance of showers. Amount 5 mm. Fog patches dissipating near noon. Wind east 20 km/h becoming west 20 near noon. High 7. UV index 3 or moderate.

Tonight: Cloudy. 40 percent chance of rain showers this evening then 40 percent chance of flurries overnight. Wind northwest 20 km/h increasing to 40 gusting to 60 near midnight. Low zero.

Thursday: Cloudy with sunny periods and 30 percent chance of flurries early in the morning. Clearing in the morning. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 becoming west 30 near noon then southwest 20 in the evening. High 10.

Friday: Rain or snow. Low plus 3. High 7.

24 March 1875: One of the most violent gales ever witnessed in Chilliwack, BC, commenced about noon. Large trees were uprooted and tree trunks shattered as if they were pipe stems.
