Today’s Weather Trivia:

2 March 2007: A man taking a long walk with his dogs near Iqaluit, NU, slipped and fell 90 m, puncturing a lung and breaking 7 ribs, his collarbone, a shoulder, and a wrist. Only his dogs and the ravens circling overhead witnessed what he feared were his final hours; 7 hours later, his wife called police and he was rescued. It was unusually mild (-21°C), but he also suffered hypothermia and frostbite. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
