The nice weather continued yesterday with afternoon temps near +7°C.The evening temps were near 0 and overnight they dropped to a little below freezing with some frost.

Today is looking like it will be another warm and dry day.It may actually be drying up too quickly here…..from the Chronicle Herald today:

A dry winter and nice weather this month have led to an early outbreak of grass and brush fires around the province.

Most of the blazes have been relatively minor grass fires. But as of noon Thursday, three of the fires have burned into brush and woodland, requiring the Natural Resources Department to attend.

Today’s Weather Trivia:

12 March 2006: Temperatures across southern Ontario soared to 18°C. Throngs of Torontonians took to the streets to enjoy a record-breaking 16°C. Heavy rains, however, forced officials to issue a flood advisory, especially in low-lying sections on major city expressways. The spring-like temperatures started the flow of maple sap in many areas. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
