  • Today’s Weather Trivia:

April 10,1888: Montreal, QC, streets filled with soft, mushy snow and standing water made getting around difficult and dangerous for pedestrians and horses. This, plus the filth in the streets that spring, increased fears that a smallpox epidemic would return. A slow clean up prompted 200 citizens, with 50 wagons, to pitch in, only to have the local council ridicule them for their efforts. The planet Jupiter rises below the Moon early tomorrow. It looks like a brilliant star. It's in the east about 45 minutes before sunrise, but it is so low that you need a clear horizon to see it.
