Yesterday was a mostly damp and cool day here with very little sunshine and a few showers. The high was in the low 20°Cs.There was a slight bit of clearing in the evening and temps were in the upper teens for the evening and through the overnight hours.
The upcoming week is looking like it will be somewhat unsettled with rain expected off and on until the weekend.

Today -- Cloudy with sunny periods. 60 percent chance of showers this afternoon. Fog patches retreating to the coast. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h this afternoon. High 17 except 23 inland. UV index 7 or high.
Tonight -- Cloudy periods. Becoming cloudy overnight with 40 percent chance of showers. Fog patches spreading inland. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low 13.
Monday -- Cloudy. Rain beginning in the morning changing to drizzle early in the evening. Risk of thundershowers late in the morning and in the afternoon. Amount 10 to 20 mm. Fog patches. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming southwest 20 in the afternoon. High 16 except 20 inland.
Tuesday -- Cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers. Low 15. High 24.

Today’s Weather Trivia:
June 27, 2004: A forest fire reached 2 tiny communities on the Yukon-British Columbia border, causing 19 people to flee their homes. Sprinklers were put on all threatened structures. Wind blew ash ahead of the fire, creating new fires. A weather inversion caused smoke to hover close to the ground and resulted in poor visibility.
