We didn’t see the sun here yesterday and there was lots of rain throughout most of the day.Temps were cool and were below 20°C for the day.The rain continued into the evening but finally ended overnight with a total of 25mm measured at the Western Head weather station.
More rain and cool temps are expected today but we should see some clearing tomorrow.A mix of sun and cloud is forecast for the weekend but it’s looking like more rain is on the way to start next week.

Today -- Periods of drizzle ending this morning then cloudy. Fog patches. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 late this morning. High 17 except 24 inland. UV index 4 or moderate.
Tonight -- Cloudy. Showers beginning early this evening and ending overnight. Risk of thundershowers this evening. Local amount 10 to 15 mm. Fog patches. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this evening. Low 14.
Friday -- Clearing in the morning. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. Wind becoming northwest 20 km/h late in the morning. High 22.
Saturday -- A mix of sun and cloud. Low 12. High 21.

Today’s Weather Trivia:
June 24,1972: A tornado touched down on the west side of Maniwaki, QC. A mother and her son were killed when their mobile home was tossed nearly 100 m. Losses exceeded $1 million, as 6 homes were destroyed, 15 others were damaged, and 50 new cars were piled into a heap. A house with 4 people was dropped onto a neighbour's roof.
