Today’s Weather Trivia:
3 September 1951: About 10 km southwest of Pleasant Valley, SK, a twister emerged from a storm cloud and tore through a farmyard, lifting a garage above the treetops and smashing it to the ground. The whirling air column travelled for about 2 km, picking up a barley swath before raining it down a distance away. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
