Today’s Weather Trivia:

8 March 2007: The Toronto (ON) Humane Society noted that milder falls and winters allows cats to stay outdoors more and leads naturally to a population explosion. Some shelters had 3 times more cats than their space allows. Females come into heat every few weeks until they mate and can become pregnant even if nursing kittens. Fortunately, dog owners usually keep their pets under control. -Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada

Regulus, the "heart" of the lion, is high in the evening sky. To find it, line up the two stars that form the inner edge of the Big Dipper's bowl, then follow that line from right to left. The first bright star the line intersects is Regulus.
