Today's Weather Trivia:
16 April 1922: The Chief Inspector from Edmonton, AB, and an agent from the
Revenue Department paid a surprise visit to a home on the edge of the city.
They found their way through a blinding snowstorm by following brewery-like
fumes wafting in the wind. The odour, detectable from 3 blocks away, was a
mash in the process of fermentation, which the house occupant had to explain
to a skeptical court. -Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather
Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
