Today's Weather Trivia:
2005: Calgary, AB, experienced its biggest butterfly boom as thousands of
the painted lady species made their largest migration north in over 20
years. From 10 to 100 times more of the species occurred throughout the
province this year. A butterfly expert at the Calgary Zoo explained that
weather systems that brought the city so much rain in June also blew in the
butterflies from the south.
