Today's weather trivia: 26 September

2007: The day's record-breaking temperature was such a sizzle that even the
ducks in a Halifax park took refuge in the shade. People strolled in the
Public Garden with cool drinks and ice cream. The temperature peaked at
30.5°C shattering the previous record of 23°C in 2003. Kentville was the hot
spot in Nova Scotia at 32°C: astonishing warmth for autumn.
