Today's weather trivia: 30 September

1920: A storm with 70 km/h gusts struck Quebec City, QC, and area. The winds
lifted a portion of the roof off St. Jean Baptiste Church, throwing it to
the street and disrupting traffic. The winds fanned a fire caused by a spark
from a nearby mill. The fire threatened to destroy a nearby convent,
populated by 134 children and 100 nuns. The children promptly left the
burning building without any panic.
