#Weather in #Liverpool, #Canada - morning report

This is what we woke up to yesterday morning as everyone else was getting snow.

Yesterday was wet and windy in the morning.Our area received only rain from
the storm that dumped some snow across the province,albeit much less than
what was forecast.There were a few flurries throughout the afternoon and
evening and ,as the temps dropped ,the wind didn't making for some rather
cold windchill values.It is still very windy and quite cold this
morning.Temps will remain on the minus side for today but will begin to rise
overnight.New Year's Day is expected to be mostly sunny with a few
flurries.The rest of the week is expected to see temps in the normal range
with a few passing flurries.No accumulation is anticipated.

morning. Clearing late this afternoon. Wind northwest 40 km/h

gusting to 70. High minus 4.

Tonight..Clear. Increasing cloudiness overnight. Wind northwest

30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming west 20 after midnight. Low minus 6

with temperature rising to minus 2 by morning.

Tuesday..A few flurries ending in the morning then mainly cloudy.

Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50. High zero.

Wind northwest 35 to 45 knots diminishing to northwest 25 to 35 this

afternoon then becoming west 25 late this evening. Wind veering to

northwest 30 Tuesday evening. A few flurries ending this afternoon.

A few showers beginning overnight and changing to a few flurries

Tuesday afternoon. Occasional freezing spray ending this afternoon.

Temperatures minus 4 rising to plus 4 Tuesday morning.







Today's weather trivia: 31 December


1982: The editor of the Farmers' Almanac got a returned copy of the
200-year-old favourite Almanac, asking for a refund and with some choice
comments from a Canadian who had taken the summer off to build a house
because the almanac said it would be dry. It rained all that summer!
