Yesterday was wet and windy in the morning.Our area received only rain from
the storm that dumped some snow across the province,albeit much less than
what was forecast.There were a few flurries throughout the afternoon and
evening and ,as the temps dropped ,the wind didn't making for some rather
cold windchill values.It is still very windy and quite cold this
morning.Temps will remain on the minus side for today but will begin to rise
overnight.New Year's Day is expected to be mostly sunny with a few
flurries.The rest of the week is expected to see temps in the normal range
with a few passing flurries.No accumulation is anticipated.

Today's weather trivia: 31 December
1982: The editor of the Farmers' Almanac got a returned copy of the
200-year-old favourite Almanac, asking for a refund and with some choice
comments from a Canadian who had taken the summer off to build a house
because the almanac said it would be dry. It rained all that summer!
