Yesterday was a real winter day here with cold temps,snow and gusty North
winds.The snow ended in the early afternoon and left about 10cms
behind.There were a few flurries throughout the afternoon,the evening was
generally clear.The cold temps will be with us for the remainder of the week
and into next.Snow flurries and periods of heavier snow are possible over
the next few days.

Today's weather trivia: 23 January 1877: West of Greensville, ON, a horse
attached to a sleigh was snowed in, only its head poking through the deep
snowdrift. The horse's owner had stopped at a street corner for a long time,
so his horse started home without him but only succeeded in getting part of
the way. The horse had to be dug out of the drift.
