Yesterday was much better than the previous few.Temps rose to a high of only
slightly below freezing,winds were generally light and there was a lot of
sunshine.Temps are expected to be above freezing for most of this week but
there will be some precip.We are expected to get a little snow tonight that
will changeover to rain.

Today's Forecast:
Today..Sunny. Increasing cloudiness this afternoon. Wind becoming
south 20 km/h gusting to 40 this afternoon. High plus 2.
Tonight..Snow changing to rain near midnight. Snowfall amount 5 cm.
Rainfall amount 15 mm. Fog patches developing near midnight. Wind
south 20 km/h gusting to 40 increasing to 40 gusting to 70 this
evening then becoming southwest 20 before morning. Temperature
rising to 6 by morning.
Tuesday..Showers ending in the morning then mainly cloudy with
40 percent chance of showers. Fog patches dissipating in the
morning. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming west 30 gusting to 50 in
the morning. High 6 with temperature falling to plus 2 in the
afternoon.

Wind northwest 20 knots diminishing to light late this morning then
increasing to south 15 this afternoon. Wind increasing to south 25
early this evening and to south 30 to 40 near midnight. Wind
diminishing to west 20 Tuesday morning then increasing to west 30
Tuesday afternoon. Rain or snow beginning early this evening
changing to rain overnight and ending Tuesday morning. Fog patches
forming early this evening and dissipating Tuesday morning.

 Today's weather trivia: 11 February 1951: An unprecedented 3-day downpour,
over 300 mm in places, followed by 15 cm of snow, inundated parts of the
Fraser Valley, BC, forcing hundreds to flee. When temperatures plunged,
parts of the valley became a vast skating pond. Chilliwack was hardest hit
with a metre of water threatening the water supply. Three people perished.
Schools closed and rail lines were severed by mud slides and washouts.
